Actually, I’m fed up with the whole Pro-Life topic.
Trump was never a true pro-life president, but it looks like conservatism is collectively abandoning the cause, in favor of winning elections at all costs, with an inconcealable desperation.

Leftism is a cancer. And it has festered and spread among traditional Americans for decades—even among those who were once staunchly anti-abortion at any stage (to the point of conception), and for any reason (no exceptions)—especially the morally-malleable, wannabe-feminist soccer moms that were easily swayed by the culture. Now otherwise decent Americans have finally and completely caved to political expediency, because all they care about is how to win an election, not what’s gruesomely happening to millions of helpless unborn humans at the mercy of selfish, promiscuous parents, greedy, morally bankrupt practitioners, and intoxicated-by-radical-ideology politicians.
I do believe that the Constitutional solution was to repeal the federal decision of the SCOTUS and put it back in the hands of the States. I have also known for years that going back to the States would not ultimately abolish abortion, because the States are no less morally confused than the Feds in how abortion should be handled. If the end-game is to eradicate all abortion from existence, State sovereignty will never accomplish that—even though the issue is now under its proper jurisdiction (hurray). The Constitutional solution was realized, but the moral one has yet to be.
It’s appalling to hear everyday conservatives defending Trump for making “wise” political decisions concerning the abortion issue, like conscienceless, armchair strategists who think they’re smart. It’s egregious seeing “conservative” politicians—once the unequivocal champions of life from conception—espousing “moderate” positions (radical ideas only thirty years ago) on “heartbeat bills,” or when the fetus can “feel pain,” and other such shameless compromises; or worse, resigning to a hands-off approach because even addressing the topic is campaign suicide.
The only genuine life advocates left, are a ragtag mishmash of religious and Christian organizations, who do little more than celebrate the pro-life rhetoric of their own leaders and certain “far right” activists few take seriously, and a string of small victories that amount to little in the long run. A couple of outlier states have banned abortion—that’s good—but that has little chance of catching on in the rest of them.
Should a presidential (or other federal office) candidate, like Pence, for example, try to push a federal abortion ban? Not if one accepts the Tenth Amendment. But, keep in mind, Constitutional adherence will ensure abortion is never rid from our nation, and that no politician who truly desires all abortion to be eradicated, once and for all, will ever be able to run on an uncompromising Pro-Life platform.
And that makes me weary of it all.
